Bin litter fly around nearby properties

Reported via desktop in the Environmental Services category anonymously at 15:42, Sunday 12 July 2026

Sent to Bromley Council 23 hours, 11 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9773296.

This is an ongoing problem for several years. Garbage from the bin (which may be full or not) fly around and end up in nearby properties.

Can this be fixed, i.e. bin removed from that location?

  • Can you elaborate on what appropriate action was taken? The area is as it was when I opened the report. The bin is full and I know it is emptied from time to time (so that's not a fix). So when you marked as fixed, what exactly was the fix?

  • Thank you for your report.

Our service provider has attended the location and cleared the litter from the highway and the area surrounding the bin.

This location is scheduled to be litter-picked daily as part of the regular cleansing programme.

A Neighbourhood Officer will also monitor the area and the bin over the coming weeks to help ensure that it remains clean and well maintained.
