Call that has had its engine running
Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicle category anonymously at 18:37, Sunday 12 July 2026
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9774009.
I spoke to the police first because I was concerned but they said this is a council issue. The car parked up on Friday 10th and had his engines running for more than 24 hours. The engine stopped running on Saturday 11th afternoon. But the car has had its lights on since Friday till now 6.36pm Sunday 12th. The neighbours that have looked into the car can see the boot. And there’s lots of items in the car on show.

We have investigated this report and found the vehicle to be taxed; a taxed vehicle is a strong indicator of an interested party and therefore the vehicle is not considered to be abandoned at this time and no further action will be taken. You can check the tax status of a vehicle online via: https://www.gov.uk/ check-vehicle-tax. Insurance or MOT issues should be directed to the Police as Bromley do not have the statutory powers to deal with this type of offence.
State changed to: No further action
